Einstein Healthcare Network

The first phase of the green site master plan is a new 350,000 SF, $265 million, independent tertiary level institution and “hospital of choice” for the region.
The comprehensive medical program includes cardiology, ED and trauma center, Oncology and Orthopedic departments, advanced general surgery, critical care and clinical services, transplant units, and IR/Vascular/IC labs. The Women’s Center includes Level 3 NICU, perinatology and neonatology services, gynecological surgery, short stay pediatric unit and specific pediatric surgery. A new 4-story medical office building will also be designed and constructed during the second phase of the project.
The engineering design included design for future technology of active solar photovoltaics and energy modeling consistent with LEED certification requirements, Strategic Energy Planning, central utility plant including cogeneration, and MEP/FP systems design using cutting edge HVAC and lighting controls.
LEED featured designs included CFD Modeling for Atrium Smoke Management, energy analysis models, and the utilization of 100% OA with heat recovery for operating room air handling.
