Kimmel Center

A new 425,000 square foot regional performing arts center consisting of two performance theater buildings (Concert Hall & Recital Theater) contained within an atrium enclosure with a barrel vaulted glass roof.
Center accommodates a rehearsal theater, choral rehearsal, performer support areas (dressing, locker rooms, shower facilities, VIP suites, etc.), music education center, restaurant and catering facilities, retail concession areas, administrative offices, and a rooftop garden.
Lighting design for the vast atrium space is controlled through a central computer based dimming system with sunlight sensing for energy conservation.
