Pitcairn Corporation

Headquarters Building
Jenkintown, Pennsylvania

• An 80,000 square foot headquarters building for the Pitcairn Corporation, consisting of general office space, executive office areas, and extensive conference and meeting space. Building systems are comprehensively “intelligent” in design.
• Proximity card security systems are used for master control of “routes to suites” and the activation of lighting, heat pumps and elevators; using motion detectors on time delays to deactivate.
• By menu, further auto activation would include “designated operational spaces – per corporate assignment”, health club (with option for heating the hot tub), and food service.
• Systems engineered included a “California heat pump system”; signal injection control systems (injection on AC wiring system to eliminate the need for new wiring); custom lighting systems; integrated communication and power systems; and a comprehensive fire protection and life safety control system.
